Virgin Australia Baggage Allowance, Size, Weight & Fees 2022

Virgin Australia is an Australian-based airline company that offers better service when people’re traveling within the country. Be sure to factor in how much baggage you’re allowed and which airports it arrives at, before booking this airline.

The economy and economy X ticket holders are able to bring in a single standard bag worth about 7 kg. The total dimension of the bag cannot exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm. In addition, people can also bring in another small personal bag or laptop bag for important documents, laptops and baby food if needed.

Carry-on Allowance

The baggage allowance for passengers is established on the basis of the seating class types. On a flight, Virgin Australia has three main classes which are: Economy, Economy X and business class. Other than these classes other cardholders with the same privilege would be given their own seats.

  • All seats on all airplanes can carry one standard carry-on luggage when entering the aircraft. Larger pieces of luggage are only allowed if they fit in a bin or under the seat in front of you.
  • The main goal of our design is that each bag dimension cannot exceed the total size
  • You are not allowed to carry a bag which is too heavy, or you will be charged for changing your luggage at the airport.
  • For days when you’re leaving on a quick trip and want to bring a few personal items, the passengers can bring in another small hand bag or laptop bag for their daily necessities.
  • If the passengers want, they can bring in two small bags of 7kg each instead of one single standard bag, thereby lightening the load for themselves and all the other passengers.

Passengers needing medical equipment can travel in wheelchairs, crutches and any other items they need. They don’t need to pay a fee or show ID to do this.

Checked-in Baggage Allowance

Virgin Australia has different baggage policies. For example, there are specific no-baggage policies for the Domestic First Class, Economy Plus and Economy cabins, and the International First Cabin.

Domestic flights: If your ticket is a light economy ticket, you cannot check in any bags for free. International flights: If you have an international flight with a light economy ticket, you cannot check in any bags for free. This privilege is given to the same status class of users as Business Class tickets.

  • Travelers are now offered more comfort and the latest equipment while they are on the road, including a baggage that fits the new size requirements.
  • Check the weight limit of your suitcases and make sure none exceed it.
  • If you put away your bags from carrying on if they cannot fit in a single piece of luggage, they will still count in the same weight limit as any other bag.
  • Unaccompanied baggage will be delivered to the cargo section of the aircraft if you are taking a flight in that direction.

Infants who come with or without their own seats are permitted to bring a single 22 kg bag along with 3 other babies items like strollers, buggies, etc. For the children above 6 years of age, the same bag allowance is allocated but they can bring only 2 of these items.

First, make sure you dissemble your bike before you pack it up. Second, label your packaging clearly with the name of the person who packed it and a contact number should be given. Third, if the bike does not run on electricity and is battery operated, do not carry the battery even if it’s removed from your bike. Finally, ideally lock up any gear that will run on electricity and secure them in a bag or back outside with the rest of your personal items during the ride.

Restricted Items

While flying with Arabia all liquids other than water are strictly forbidden. Certain items, like liquids and powders, are banned in the carrier’s guidelines to make the air inside their aircraft comfortable for passengers.

  • Sharp objects are dangerous, so consider using something that won’t stab you or someone else.
  • Many types of chemicals and other substances fall into the category of poisonous fluids. The toxic chemicals you should watch out for are pesticides, shampoos, detergents, and similar substances.
  • No bags are allowed to contain any matches, lighters or anything that creates a fire hazard.
  • Stunning devices like tasers and batons can injure or impair the human body.
