Carry-on baggage allowance
Lufthansa airlines make passenger safety its first priority. They provide a lot of restrictions and policies to follow, but they do so to keep you safe from all potential harm. The airline authorizes travel with a certain luggage allowance that is different for each class. It’s called Economy, Premium, Business and First class.
The airlines offer different baggage allowances on each flight. Here are the guidelines to know what baggage you can take with you on your next trip.

The size restriction for all classes is 21.6 x 15.7 x 9 inches, and you can take a small laptop bag or a foldable garment bag of your preference. The size allocation for the laptop bag is 11.8 x 15.7 x 3.9 inches and 11.8 x 15.7 x 3.9 inches for the garment bag
For infants, Lufthansa airline has the following policies. When an infant travels with an adult, a single fare is paid for the infant and one free seat for the person accompanying the infant on the same flight.
- Children under the age of two are allowed a single carry-on baggage allowance. Remember to count your infant’s weight when determining your total allowance–it must not be over 23 kg! You may still fly Economy within Europe with a child as small as a toddler.
- You may help parents get through the day with a car seat or buggy by carrying it free of charge.
- To help speed up the airport, we provide a stroller on every flight. It’s just one of the many things we make our flying experience more efficient.
