KLM is one of the national airline companies of the Netherlands in full Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij. It was actually founded in 1919 and its first flight was launched in 1920 from London to Amsterdam with 2 English and a number of newspapers. In 1926, they have started scheduled services to the countries like Brussels, London, Copenhagen, and Rotterdam, and mainly it operates scheduled services from the airline hub of Schiphol Airport near Amsterdam where its subsidiary company Air France-KLM’s headquarters is situated. In May 2004 Air France took over KLM and now it is one of the largest airline companies in the world in terms of operating revenues and the third-largest company in the world in RPKs (Revenue-Passenger-kilometers).
