Philippine Airlines(PAL), headquartered in Makati City and based in Manila, flies both domestically 21 destinations and internationally 31 destinations. It was established back in 1941 – It was one of Asia’s first airlines and it is the national airline of the Philippines-something which makes it the oldest Asian carrier. Philippine Airlines’ main hub is Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the capital city of Manila. China Airlines and Japan Airlines are its principal Asian competitors. Across the front part of the fuselage, the name ‘Phillippines’ is located. The logo, consisting of blue and red triangles with the sun on the blue triangle, came from the design and colors of the Philippine flag, with the exception of the three yellow stars on a field of white.

Philippine Airlines carries an average of 16,300 passengers and more than 300 tons of cargo daily and its fleet is now composed of 45 airplanes. These planes are flown by Asia’s most experienced pilots. These pilots trained extensively at the Philippine Airlines Training Center. The world’s largest commercial aircraft – the Boeing 747-400 is also included in its fleet and is maintained by engineers and technicians at the Philippine Airlines Technical Center, which is rated by the US Federal Aviation Administration, British Civil Aviation Authority, and the Netherlands RLD as a repair agency for aircraft of their respective countries.
